For the Wonders

Friendship...
can take different forms.
It can run like a river,
quietly and sustainingly
through life;
it can be an intermittent
sometime thing;
or it can explode like
a meteor,
altering the atmosphere
so that nothing ever feels
or looks the same again.

just a little something..

Hey girls,

I wanna say this,

I MISS U SO MUCH!!!!

*hugs*

Anyway, i wanna share something with u. Its not as sweet or lovey dovey as Mar's, but perhaps this little something that i wanna share will take your monday or whatever day blues away.

Its based on a true story.
The main character is me.

Ok, u know, telemarketers, in Singapore, trying to sell their products or services, it happened here too, Perth.
Last time, i would listen to their stories, this and that and after telling me what services they're offering, in the end i will have to disappoint them by saying that iwasn't interested.

Then i changed my tactic.
I thought, ok, since its ang mos here, whenever my room phone rang at unusual time, coz i roughly know when my parents will call me, i will answer my phone and when i heard the normal "Hello, may is speak to Mr Abdullah/ Mrs Abdullah" my normal response would be, "Oh, sorry he/she's not in..." which is true what, both my mum and dad are not here.

After that i changed tactic.
When they wanna speak to a certain Mr/Mrs Abdullah, my reply would be,

"Hello, awak nak cakap dgn siapa"
I will keep on saying that over and over again, like a broken record till they gave up. Most of the callers are Indian, with very strong Indian accent. Some are local Ausies.

Until one fine morning.

And the conversation went like this:

Ring, ring...

Me: hello?
Caller: Hello, may i speak to Mr Abdullah?
Me:Hello??
Caller: Hi, may i speak to Mr Abdullah, please?
Me: Hello, awak nak cakap dgn siapa?
Caller: Oh, hello, umm.. saya ingin bercakap dgn Encik Abdullah. Dia ada di rumah?

And i was stunned!!!

Too stunned, that i dun know any other excuses, but just said that he's not in and won't be back till end of next month.
Believe it or not, we converse in Malay throughout.
Aparently, she's Chinese and her name is Julie and she's from M'sia.
And i was so dumb that i said that i was frm Singapore, and that my parents were not ard. Nampak sangat bedek kan? At least if i said that im from Singapore that i live with my son or daughter but they're not in Perth, its believable. I can be some old makcik that dunno how to converse in English. Ni tidak. *Slaps head*

Kena backfired rabak punya kes....
Now, whenever my room phone rings, i just let it ring and ring and ring and ring, unless i know that its the normal time that my parents call.

AL-kisah...

Have a great weekend girls!!
